ICDL China was founded in April 2007 with the exclusive aim of managing the ECDL Programme in China (ECDL is call ICDL – International Computer Driving License – outside Europe).

Based in Beijing, the company has very quickly developed a significant Exam Centre network, which covers the majority of the 34 Chinese provinces as well as major urban centres.

Regional authorities of China’s Ministry of Education accept the ICDL Programme as a substitute for IT classes in secondary education, while negotiations are being made with the Ministry regarding the complete recognition and incorporation of the certification in the whole of the Chinese state school system.
