The International Vocational Qualifications (IVQ) exams are held at City & Guilds Authorized Exam Centres for the duration of the academic year. 

Every IVQ may consist of a varying combination of assessment methods among the following:

• written multiple choice questions
• written essay questions
• on-site project observation
• practical competence
