City & Guilds Office Procedures is a comprehensive and contemporary programme that aims at measuring candidates’ ability to provide efficient administrative support within an enterprise.

It is the ideal option for those seeking to acquire a good grounding at the organisational and administrative level.

What does the syllabus consist of? 
Τhe Office Procedures qualfication is offered at two (2) different levels and consists of the following material with the corresponding recommended hours of training preparation:

Level 1 (30 hours)
1. Τhe οffice
2. Communications
3. Systems and procedures
4. Filing
5. Support and office equipment 

Level 2 (60 hours)
1. Offices and their role in an organisation
2. Communications
3. Office support services
4. Business documentation and payment procedures
5. Handling information and files
6. Arranging conferences and business trips

How are candidates assessed?
Level 1
Written exam that lasts 1.5 hours and is divided into two parts:
a. 15 questions requiring short answers (45 marks)
b. 3 questions covering the rest of the syllabus (25 marks)

Level 2
Written exam that lasts 2 hours and is divided into two parts:
a. 12 questions requiring short answers (60 marks)
b. 3 questions covering the rest of the syllabus (40 marks)
The marks from parts 1 and 2 are added to obtain the final mark.

Exams are marked by Authorized City & Guilds examiners.

How are the exams marked?
Candidates need a total percentage of 54% to obtain a “Pass” at Level 1 and 55% at Level 2.
To get a “First Class Pass” candidates need a total of 70%.

How is exam reliability ensured?
City & Guilds examinations are held at Authorized City & Guilds Centres.

Authorized City & Guilds Centres fulfil high quality standards and implement strictly supervised exam procedures at every level of service.

Exams are always in the presence of an Authorized Invigilator, who ensures that all standards and procedures are strictly observed.

Results are issued approximately 20 days following the examination date.

The certificates are issued by the City & Guilds Organisation.
