With 500 qualifications in 26 different professions and 2,000,000 candidates annually, City & Guilds is the largest non-profit organisation for education and certification of vocational expertise and skills worldwide. It was established in London in 1878 and has a dynamic presence in 100 countries.
City & Guilds issues qualifications for International English for Speakers of Other Languages, (IESOL) and International Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages (ISESOL).The City & Guilds National Vocational Qualifications have been accredited by the British Qualifications & Curriculum Authority and are part of the National Qualifications Framework, while they have been recognized by governments and corresponding accreditation institutions in several other countries.
The City & Guilds programme for certifying knowledge of the English language acquired the official “stamp” of the Greek State and is recognized by ASEP (Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection) at all levels (Excellent, Very good, Good and Fair knowledge).
The IESOL and ISESOL Qualifications are available at six levels as specified by the Common European Framework (CEF) of the European Council.
