The City & Guilds International English for Speakers of Other Languages (IESOL) and International Spoken English for Speakers of Other Languages (ISESOL) qualifications are the ideal choice for those who would like to certify their knowledge of the English language, both written and oral. The City & Guilds IESOL and ISESOL qualifications are issued by an international body, widely recognized by employers, educational institutions and state authorities.
The IESOL and ISESOL qualifications are two separate examinations: the results of one do not affect the results of the other. Thus, candidates who are successful in the IESOL exam, but fail the ISESOL, may re-sit the ISESOL exam if they so wish.
Candidates can schedule their exams with flexibility since exams are held all year round.
In order to receive certification in any level you need to suceed in both the IESOL and ISESOL Exams.
The examinations are held in venues carefully selected by City & Guilds headquarters as well as in Authorized City & Guilds Centres, which meet international quality standards and are staffed by specially trained experts , guaranteeing the reliability and validity of the exams. These Αuthorized Centres hold the examinations either on their own premises or wherever else the Centre chooses, after being monitored for fulfilling the necessary quality specifications.
Why City & Guilds?
Examinations tailored to the trainee’s needs
The written and oral exams are independent of each other: the results of one do not affect the results of the other and the candidate has the option of sitting the written and oral exams in different examination periods.
Written examinations are held 6 times a year, allowing the candidate to sit the exam when s/he is truly prepared.
The City & Guilds ESOL qualifications are designed to meet the needs of all age groups.
Simple and flexible registration procedure
Registration for the exams is done online up to 20 days before the exams at www.cityandguilds.gr.
