 City & Guilds ISESOL Interlocutor

for the following cities: Nafplion, Kalamata, Kavala, Giannitsa, Veria, Preveza, Serres, Sidirokastro, Kozani, Arta, Lamia, Aegean and Ionian Islands.

The City & Guilds ISESOL Interlocutor has a vital role to play in the conduct of the spoken tests. The Interlocutor’s responsibilities include:

  • managing the interaction in the test
  • facilitating the candidate’s performance.
  • ensuring that all candidates are treated fairly and given an equal opportunity to speak
  • ensuring that all the administration connected with the live test recordings is accurately carried out.

City & Guilds Interlocutors do not examine or assess the candidate’s performance. The assessment of candidates takes place at a later stage and is carried out by trained markers at City & Guilds.

City & Guilds Interlocutors are qualified, licensed teachers of English to speakers of other languages with a minimum of three years of relevant classroom teaching experience. They may be native or nonnative speakers of English, but must be able to use the language competently in order to elicit language samples from the candidates.
