The City & Guilds Teachers’ Handbook targets teachers preparing students for the City & Guilds IESOL Written Exam and the City & Guilds ISESOL Oral Exam. The information includes the revised ESOL exam publications, available starting December 2009.

The Handbook is comprised of five units:

• City & Guilds IESOL & ISESOL exam information including the content, the levels and information on how the exams can be taken.
• City & Guilds ΙΕSOL Listening and Reading subtests information, including the skills tested, the exercise types and breakdown of the marking scales.
• City & Guilds ΙESOL Writing subtest information, including the genres per level, the assessment criteria as well as samples of different levels of performance.
• City & Guilds ISESOL exam information including the content, the task types and breakdown of the marking scales. It comes along with a DVD with sample video interviews inside the back cover.
• Samples of both the IESOL and ISESOL exams. It comes along with a CD with the Listening inside the back cover.
